Nutty Chocolate Chip Frozen Yoghurt

This is super easy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups greek nonfat plain yoghurt (Trader Joe's has a great one that is the highest in protein I have found)

  • 2 -3 T almond butter or chopped roasted pecans, walnuts or slivered almonds

  • 1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

  • 3-4 T monk fruit or allulose or 10-12 drops of liquid stevia (I like Vanilla Creme by SweetLeaf)

  • You can use 1 T of honey plus 1 T maple syrup instead of stevia

  • a sprinkle of cinnamon (optional)

Here's How:

  1. Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix until smooth.

  2. Freeze in glass containers with lids for at least an hour.

  3. You can place frozen mixture in a food processor once it softens a bit and pulse, being careful not to overmix to keep the crunchy ingredient

The greek yoghurt offers a creamy, rich taste and texture and it is a healthy high protein treat (21 grams per cup)
